Timber desk organisers,
made one block at a time.
Deskwell Studio makes solid timber desk organisers and docking stations by hand. No flat-pack, no plastic trays. One piece of bamboo or walnut, machined and oiled, built to outlast the desk it sits on.

What we make
From the journal

From the bench, August
The yard that ate a Saturday
The workshop sits on a corner block with a strip of grass that gets away from us every spring. We finally handed it over to a lawn mowing brisbane crew a mate up north put us onto, and got the Saturday back for actual making.

From the bench, after the storms
Looking at the roof from above
After a rough wet season we stopped climbing ladders to check the workshop roof over the timber store and booked drone inspections instead. A clear overhead read of the gutters and valleys in an afternoon, no ladder, no guessing.

The story behind the Desk Cube
How one block of bamboo and a cluttered desk turned into the thing we are still making a decade later.
Why solid timber
A desk organiser lives on your desk for years. The plastic ones crack at the corners and end up in landfill; the laminated ones swell the first time a coffee goes over. We cut ours from a single block so there is nothing to delaminate, nothing to peel. The bamboo is fast-growing and hard-wearing, the walnut is offcuts from a furniture maker two towns over. Both are finished with a food-safe oil you can top up yourself.
We have been doing this since the first Desk Cube in 2015. The shape has barely changed because it works. Read our story, or see what people have said about them.
